Brand New Computer Audio & Wi-Fi Problems

Hi,

i have built a brand new PC with the following components:
ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming Wifi motherboard
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X cpu
ASUS AMD Dual Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition gpu
Cooler Master Silencio S600 Tempered Glass case

Im currently running Linux kernel 6.12.4-1 and im connected to the monitor through DisplayPort and have solved almost all problems except the wifi options which are not showing up even though i have connected the wifi accessory which came with the motherboard and i have no audio i connected my headphones on the front audio 3.5mm port on the case and also the 3.5mm port on the monitor itself but there is no audio coming out.

if i look in the system settings for audio i see this it is Dutch language btw

my question is what is the problem exactly and how can i solve it?

Looking for the chip-ID it looks like there might not be a driver available (yet) for this WiFi hardware.
I found only people wanting to use it but no one who succeeded.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t one - just that I didn’t find it in my cursory search.

I have zero clue about the audio issue.

Mediatek MT7927 Linux driver is still not available even though this card has been around for over one year.

This was asked just 4 days ago in Ubuntu forum. You can choose to wait or swap out for another card, I guess.

There appears to be no Linux support for the Mediatek MT7927, as is generally revealed from performing an Internet search. By all means, wait as long as you like; my opinion is that this is unlikely to change.

You can however continue to use the wired network, which is typically more performant that using wireless.

Have you tried connecting headphones to the rear LINE OUT 3.5mm jack socket?

This motherboard is included on alsa-ucm-conf list and should be working in ALSA

Hi,

something happened today that was not there before now when i plug in my headphones in the front audio port it recognises it and gives you the option of analog headphones or microphone and you can adjust the volume level and different output of the headphones like analog stereo duplex and analog stereo output but i cant hear any sound or music playing i also checked the rear LINE OUT as you suggested that one works perfectly fine

I suggest change Profile from Analoog surround 7.1 uitvoer to Analoog stereo uitvoer in Audio GUI controls, or use this command:

pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.usb-Generic_USB_Audio-00 output:analog-stereo

if the audio jack is no longer needed for surround 7.1 playback, analog-output-headphones: Analoge koptelefoon should be available for stereo playback
