Black Screen with cursor after waking up from sleep

sometimes i wake up my pc from sleep, i get a black screen with a cursor.
The cursor was moving fine.
I can still switch to alternate terminals with CTRL+ALT+F2,my only option is to reboot,Is there another solution?

p.s. after continued googling I came across a suggestion to disable TLP. I’ve installed tlpui and did so. I cannot confirm that this fixes the issue right now, but just recording it.
