Hey guys so did anyone else get the black screen with the blinking line in the top hand corner after a big update that just came out?
I have a suspicious feeling it’s to do with NVIDIAs driver update that’s causing this as I did have a NVIDIA update than did a restart and now my OS is somewhat borked…

Are you able to boot into a Live Enviroment? If so, you can check logs from a chroot environment there.
In that case, open a terminal, and enter a chroot environment:
manjaro-chroot -a
From there, provide more info of your current system, as per [HowTo] Provide System Information, and also from chroot environment run:
journalctl --boot=-1 --priority=3
And provide the output here.
Hmm wonder what caused gdm to fail here and I notice another nerror which I think is from xpad neo Xbox driver but I could be wrong.

You actually only need to provide inxi output once, either live or chroot mode (because it’s just hardware info). But you need to provide the previous output of journalctl in chroot, because that will provide the errors we’re looking during your black screen of death.
I know but @Mirdarthos did say “Let’s say both. The more information, the better.” 
I understand but I provided the output for the journalctl --boot=-1 --priority=3 command and that is all it gave me, is there another argument I can do to give a better log?

and redo cut/paste
need confirmation version , you are still with 495 series not 510.47 series
Or better, provide the content of the ~/temporary_log.txt from journalctl -b -1 -g nvidia >> ~/temporary_log.txt and you can delete the ~/temporary_log.txt afterward.
Your current journalctl output is cut.
Hmm I have it maximised but I assume it will look the same, I cleared it with the clear command and tried again with the window maximised
