BBC Microbit - not mounting

I’m trying to get my laptop to recognise a Microbit, which seems to be possible in other linux flavours. I’m on kernel 5.10.89-1.

The device is not listed in lsusb. There is nothing showing up in dmesg / journalctl when I plug in the microbit. I have tried different ports / cables / microbit units.

I have seen some reference to USB_SERIAL modules, but this does seem to be loaded or availble to load.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Fixed! It was a couple of bad cables (or they were charging-only)
