Autostart caffeine-ng

Hi, this is my actual config:
Last Manjaro release - GNOME 3.38.2 - X11

I’ve installed caffeine-ng and set its in autostart settings.

Caffeine-ng doesn’t start after login and there isn’t sysbar icon

Hoe can I fix it?

Hi. Is it there it’s autostart .desktop file at ls /etc/xdg/autostart/caffeine.desktop?

ls /etc/xdg/autostart/caffeine.desktop

If it is there, check if there is another .desktop file for caffeine at ~/.config/autostart/ and delete it or even better, move it from there to another directory, just in case. Then restart and cross your fingers

Ok, I’ve deleted ‘~/.config/autostart/caffeine.desktop’
Than I’ve fixed and caffeine is strarting after login.
Then If I have /etc/xdg/autostart/ and ~/.config/autostart/ duplicetes I’ve to remove one?

No problem mate. Mark the thread as solved if you like.

It depends I guess. Ones are system wide, the others are user wide. You can override one with the other. That particular one it’s faulty it seems, I can’t remember exactly why, because I delete it long time ago.

But you shouldn’t worry otherwise. Check the ones existing already and look if you really need them. Personally, I deleted all of the default distro ones located at ~/.config/autostart/
