I’m not exactly sure when this started happening but for the past day or two when I boot up Manjaro and arrive at the desktop the “Authentication Required” dialog and input box pops up and I put in my password to make it go away. I currently don’t have my computer set to require a password on bootup. Anyone know how I can figure out what the problem might be and to solve it? It might be an issue since the latest major update but I’m not sure.

First: If you do not know, what you are authorizing: don’t do it.

There must be some program autostarting which is querying you for authorziation. Check autostarts.

and also have a look at the .desktop files in /etc/xdg/autostart/.
I’m not sure if those are the only places.

Nothing seems out of ordinary in Tweaks, although I did notice that caffeine-ng is set to autostart but doesn’t seem to do so. I hadn’t noticed that in a long time. I just tried starting it and it works but doesn’t autostart. I don’t know if that is related, just something I noticed

The login keyring did not get unlogged …

So it seems to be a problem with (failing) automatic unlocking of the keyring when logging in.

I’m assuming that means you activated automatic login.
