I installed Manjaro KDE today on the new computer I just built and I seem to be having an issue when it comes to getting the case audio jack to be detected by Manjaro. If anyone know’s what is going on that would be appreciated.
Firstly,
Secondly, is the jack connected in the case? There is a cable for HD Audio that would connect to the motherboard header for HD audio. This is what connects the Jack on the case to the Motherboard.
If it is connected, check your audio settings, audio may be being sent to another connection(Like HDMI).
Otherwise, post the information like in the link I provided and someone may see something wrong and know how to fix it.
I think i did this correctly, to answer your questions, Yes the jack is in the case, I believe the Jack is connected as I had to get the device repaired at Microcenter because i originally bent the pin I’ll check after this. Secondly I am not sure how i would check if audio is being sent by HDMI or not as im new to Manjaro and Linux as a whole. (Sorry)

Have you tried both front and rear headphone jacks on this system?
If you install package alsa-tools
pamac install alsa-tools
That has hdajacksensetest to check if jack-detection is working
sudo hdajacksensetest --card=1
