[ARM Stable Update] 2021-08-05 - DesQ, Kodi, PulseAudio and Kernels

Beelink GT King Pro Manjaro-Arm-GNOME and Manjaro-Arm-XFCE updated successfully.

I have been noticing on Manjaro-Arm-GNOME an error which does not show up on Manjaro-Arm-XFCE with the latest updated.

dmesg of Manjaro-Arm-GNOME

Eventhough this error shows up, sound is available. What could be the cause for this error?

Manjaro ARM keyring configuration error reported on system restart notice. No problem found after the restart. A more reassuring message would be nice before the restart.

What notice are you talking about?

The only change in the keyring, is that we added a new key.

How do I start Vivaldi from the terminal? BTW, I am now able to get Vivaldi to run except I can’t login to my Vivaldi browser sync account. I have to launch 2 or 3 instances of the browser to get it to work at all now and I can’t get to any websites. On Majaro-ARM KDE Plasma I can (That one is still not updated). Same with Vivaldi on Raspberry Pi OS (Both the OS and Vivaldi is updated to the latest versions).

This also came up for me as well.

I didn’t take a screen shot of the error, the description from my recollection is the best I can do. I don’t have Vivaldi installed, and installing it is not an option. Since there is at least one other person reporting the error, let’s hope someone doing an installation reads these posts and does a proper capture.

PinePhone autorotate is still glithcy since last update.

I opened the terminal and typed in vivaldi and got the following errors

[13213:13213:0807/104059.212323:ERROR:network_service_instance_impl.cc(331)] Network service crashed, restarting service.

I also typed in vivaldi-stable and got the following errors

vivaldi-stable
[0807/111719.294591:WARNING:process_reader_linux.cc(125)] no stack mapping
[14504:14504:0807/111720.956988:ERROR:network_service_instance_impl.cc(331)] Network service crashed, restarting service.

Also when I load it from the GUI inside Applications it starts normal except it doesn’t login. When I go to sync I’m not logged in and have to log in by hand. Once I do that and I click on the login button It comes up with the following error

Logging in to Vivaldi.net as [user name]. Please wait.
Unable to connect to vivaldi.net: ERR_FAILED.Retrying in [timer]

After the timer gets to 0:00 it retrys and returns to the error message in less than an second.

I logged into vivaldi.net using FireFox and was able to login with my credentials just fine. I went to the Vivaldi community forums and in the Vivaldi for Linux ( Home → Support & Troubleshooting → Vivaldi for Linux) section I found the following topic

Today’s 4.1.2369.11-1 Crashes on Arch Linux
10 days ago • DoppleGanger

I hope this all helps with getting Vivaldi to work properly.

I also upgraded my manjaro install on rpi4 2 days ago and since then performance is so bad I cant even reliably run htop to try and figure out the problem I also got an error about sticky bit set on boot partition but that might be due to me unplugging after ssh wasnt usable anymore.

Updates are fine here. Though I did install Vivaldi and got the same errors as reported by others.

at this point ssh usually times out so i no longer have access to the running system but I can send log files if you tell me which ones youd like. it seems to still boot as I can see its static ip pop up on the router after a couple minutes (3-5).

what hardware?

Pi4b with argon case and a 256gb sata ssd

weird that sounds a lot like my setup I have a 1tb usb HDD

Hi, sorry if this is not the right thread. I have seen that PanVK has been released with Mesa 21.2, but it doesn’t seem to be working on the Pinebook Pro, is there any way to enable it?

Mesa 21.2 is only in the mesa-git package at this point.

Thanks for the answer, I’m using the mesa-git package.

I thought maybe I need to enable some flag like with OpenGL 3.3, but haven’t found any docs about it.

Hm. It’s probably a whole new driver, so the mesa packages need to be adopted for it.

Let me see if I can build a package with it.

Thank you, I was already going to build it myself and I saw your changes haha
