I’ll make this short since this not actually a new app but a continuation of the work @moson did here.

The purpose of matray is to show you notifications about news/announcements posted on the Manjaro forums.
It’s a small tray application that shows a menu with the latest news articles.
Matray is now under new leadership, I’m currently also looking for more devs with experience in vala.
I’ve already successfully ported it to the new libs required by modern Manjaro and thus fixed the old one not building.
I’ve also removed Twitter as a news source, since that hasn’t been working eversince Twitter shut-down their public API.
How to install it
It’s already in the Manjaro extra packages. Yochanan updated it to point towards the new repo.
I don’t know if the package is at v1.1.6 already… I’m not that knowledgeable how the whole Manjaro package release cycle works to be honest.
Before you install it, make sure it’s at least v1.1.6.
