the screen is still black. does installing Nvidia drivers normally take this long?
I assume it would be bad if I were to forcibly reboot my computer without waiting till it finished.
It shouldn’t turn black. Wait for a long time (it may need to download it so it can take some time if you have slow internet) and try to write reboot and press enter, and see if it reboots.
If you can’t have it back again, at some point you can try to force manual reboot.
You can try to install video drivers from live USB then, chroot the system, and issue the command again.
What a journey.
PS: now you have Nvidia Settings to configure video.
