After Suspending, I I Can't Detect my XBONE Controller?

I’m using AntimicroX (a gamepad mapper) to map controls for my XBONE controller, but after suspending, It can’t find the controller (including after restarting the program). The controller also doesn’t appear on lsusb despite appearing before the suspend. The controller also would (before the suspend) glow solid white when plugged in. Now it just vibrates indicating that it is charging.

I’m guessing this is because some kernel module or system service has gone down. I experience similar issues with nordvpn and have to execute systemctl restart nord* to restart the VPN service.

Is there something similar for a service that recognizes the XBONE controller?

  2. An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information for us to be able to help you. (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
Also, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text.
  3. The output of lsusb both before and after suspending would be helpful too.
  4. because we need that output to do some modprobeing (=note to self)

The problem appears to be a PCI USB card being unable to provide enough power for some reason.

It has a direct connection to the power supply rail, but I don’t think it puts out enough power to keep the XBONE controller alive consitently.

Strangly enough, it will provide enough power for some time, and then abruptly die, leading to my thinking that it was instead an OS issue when I resumed from suspend (and because there were other suspend related issues)

Plugging into the front case jack seems to work just fine for an extended period of time whereas the PCI USB port hub doesn’t work at this moment.

This issue, which was falsely flagged as a power supply issue (because it started occurring when the desktop wasn’t suspended) returned, but only when I use my PCI USB hub: After Suspending, I I Can't Detect my XBONE Controller?

The Issue: Wired (via USB ) 2015 Microsoft Xbox One (XBONE) controller vibrates when plugged in, indicating that it is charging, but the light doesn’t stay solid, indicating no data connection. It also does not appear on lsusb, nor is it accessable my my XBONE mapper.

At first (per the previous problem) I thought that this was an issue with the PCI module not recieving enough power, but I gave it a dedicated line from my 1000W power supply (of which I only use a maximum of 700W MAX, and the system is more typically in the 400W range.

Here is the PCI card (which I have wired to the power supply using their MOLEX connector): ORICO SuperSpeed 7 Ports USB3.0 PCI-E Expansion Card Adapter PCI-E USB 3.0 HUB Controller Adapter Add on Card for Windows Vista PC Laptop (No Additional Power Connection Needed) - Newegg.com

I honestly can’t tell if this is a system issue, or a hardware issue with the card itself as it seems to work fine every reboot (and has a high probability of failure after a suspend).

What is wrong with the system, hardware or something about the OS’s PCI-data-system?
