Getting Hardware accelerated decode in various software in manjaro after recent changes in Mesa

This relates to methods getting hardware accelerated decode working in firefox, vlc and other common software without installing mesa-git from unsupported sources like AUR, or manually compiling packages. Even if there is none currently, what are possible methods to have it in a more accessible manner to average users of manjaro, that can be adopted by community, and if possible can be requested of developers?

Does it happen with any YouTube video? I thought they migrated most of them to use VP9 codec now.
