Xfwm4 doesn't start, windows can not get resized, minimized or closed

I have problems with my window manager xfwm4.
The windows have no bar at the top where the minimize/maximize/close buttons normally are and also they can’t be resized by pulling the sides.
When I change to another profile it works all fine there.

When I start xfwm4 with the terminal, it shows the following error:

xfwm4
(xfwm4:4516): Gdk-WARNING **: 21:50:39.820: The program 'xfwm4' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 3311 error_code 11 request_code 53 (core protocol) minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

What I already tried:
xfwm4 – replace

But that had no effect.

Has anyone an idea what I can do about the problem?

Finally after a an endless research I found a solution for my problem. The solution was just deleting the xfce4 folder in both ~/.config and ~/.cache

That would have given you a totally default configuration of Xfce4 - which is fine.
You can customize it in any way you want.

You can get the Manjaro default configuration from /etc/skel/...
just copy that to $HOME/.config after you have removed ~/.config/xfce4
