Xfig on Manjaro

Hi everyone,

I am very new to Manjaro. In fact, I only installed it yesterday. I am a bit disappointed to see that there is no obvious way to install xfig on Manjaro. If I issue the command:

pamac install xfig

It gives me the following error:

Error: target not found: xfig

If I issue the command:

pamac search -a xfig

I get a lot of output:

fig2dev-git 3.2.8b.r59.g6bba6c8-1 AUR
Format conversion utility that can be used with xfig
fig2dev 3.2.8.b-1 extra
Format conversion utility that can be used with xfig
dpic-git r48.1e982f5-1 AUR
An implementation of the pic “little language,” with support for LaTeX, PDF, SVG, Postscript, and xfig 3.2 output.
python-pythontexfigures 0.2.0-3 AUR
Embed matplotlib figures into LaTeX documents using PythonTeX
xfig-git 3.2.8b.r6.g92215fa-1 AUR
An interactive drawing tool
xfig 3.2.8b-2 AUR
An interactive drawing tool

But I am not sure what I can do with it or how can I use it? The last item, for example, which reads: “xfig 3.2.8b-2” looks promising, but how to feed it to pamac to install xfig is beyond me.

Please help, any advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

A Manjaro newbie

Dear Yochanan,

Thanks for your reply. I found this page: Arch User Repository - Manjaro, browsed through it, and finally issued the command:

pamac build grace

which did the job. Great, thanks
