Xfce power manager

Made a fresh zetar xfce installation.
This topic still occuring

In previous topic from February, I was using Presentation Mode only because Firefox could not disable screen blanking in full-screen mode.

But since Firefox update in March, it can disable screen blanking in full-screen mode

I made a fresh zetar install and the system went into screen blanking
did’t even install FF yet. When activating presentation mode no more screen blanking.
My guess this is still a workaround

Firefox is included on all official 25.0 ISOs

Presentation mode has been included in xfce4-power-manager for many years and has always worked as expected

Super User - What does xfce4 power-manager do in “presentation mode”?
It does two things, both intended to keep automatic features from messing up a presentation where you don’t touch the machine for a long time (e.g. a teacher showing a video to a class):

  • Turns off DPMS (Display Power Management Signaling) so your screen won’t blank or sleep
  • Prevents screensaver mode from activating

Thanks i know that but thanks for reply.
Imho i still think it’s a bug when stopping all the buttons in screensaver and lock screen. That should prevent the screen going into lock but it still doesn’t.
