X265 HEVC 10bit .mkv files,only play sound on VLC

Hello
i got the KDE minimal iso so maybe i’m missing codecs or packages.
i also had to choose VDPAU output in VLC for it not to crash upon opening a file when i first installed Manjaro.

edit:
seems to be solved by changing the Video output in VLC to “X11 video output (XCB)”
