Wireshark cannot start packet capture on interfaces

Wireshark says it cannot start a capture because the user does not have the right permissions.

This is the message:
The capture session could not be initiated on interface ‘wlan0’ (You don’t have permission to capture on that device).

The user is an Administrator. I cannot find settings it the GUI to allow an interface to capture. Is it a CLI or config file setting?

You need to add your user to the wireshark group. After that you usually have to reboot to make sure it has a affect.

Logoff and login is enough to activate a group change.
