Will the Manjaro community eventually separate as a separate distribution? Manjaro 2.0

I’d like to know, now that the discussion around Manjaro 2.0 has seemingly died down, will a separate distribution be created or will everything remain the same?

From my reading between the lines, there is a compromise in the work, that will avoid a forking into Manjaro 2.0. But I’m sure there are many people more in the know who can give you better information.

Not the same, but not separate, just better. The whole point of the exercise was/is to ensure ordinary users are not impacted by unforeseen circumstances.

Please relax, and let the Team work through this. In the mean time, releases are still coming out, issues are being dealt with, so enjoy what is arguably the best Linux distro around.

No, Manjaro will remain Manjaro. The only thing that’s going to change is how the distribution will be governed in terms of development.

Nothing will change for the user.
