Hello there, I understand that this is probably quite a widespread problem as i spent quite a bit looking around this forum for a fix but i came to the conclusion that it probably isn’t something that can be fixed from another persons problem, as computers are different. Currently wired through my phone with usb tethering and will post my inxi -Fazy results so that maybe someone can help me.
Here is the aforementioned inxi -Fazy, i disconnected from my phone and turned on wifi to get the results of the actual wifi connection. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

It looks like you have a driver installed:
Are you dual-booting Windows? If so, make certain that Windows is completely shutdown and that Hibernation, hybrid sleep and fast startup are completely disabled.
Have you tried a different kernel e.g. 6.6LTS or 6.1LTS?
Is it blocked somehow? What does the following command show?
rfkill list
A solution I have seen involves blacklisting the kernel driver and installing rtl8192eu driver which is available from the AUR. This particular driver requires that dkms be installed on your system. I would also recommend the appropriate linux headers for the kernel that you are running.
If it doesn’t workout, you can always reverse the kernel driver blacklist.
echo "blacklist rtl8xxxu" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/rtl8xxxu.conf
Easiest method is in pamac GUI. Ensure that AUR is enabled in pamac.
To build packages from AUR, make certain that the base-devel package is installed.
Via terminal:
pamac install base-devel
pamac install dkms
pamac install linux612-headers
reboot after installation of dkms and the kernel headers. Then:
In terminal or via Pamac GUI:
pamac build rtl8192eu
There was a problem a till a day or two ago with recent ISO’s missing some firmware.
I don’t know whether this WiFi adapter would need it.
Perhaps try using a freshly downloaded ISO.
I downloaded my ISO like 10-12 hours ago, i don’t know if you mean recent recent, like some minutes ago.
I’ll try what you mention, but just to answer a few right now.5
No so I don’t think it matters, but tell me if i am wrong there. I am running Manjaro on one of my SSD’s, I have 2 SSD (a 250gb which has my windows, and a 1tb that has a partition which is running Manjaro) and 1tb HDD.
Not yet, didn’t think of it as a solution to the adapter not working.
It shows this: (Currently on ethernet through phone tethering.)
1: phy1: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: yes
Hard blocked: no
That’s all from me now, i’ll go ahead and try everything else.
I don’t know about the two SSD situation. I would run the following:
rfkill unblock all
the name of the file should end in
… 24.2.0-241209-linux612.iso - the one from the day before
… 24.2.0-241208- … .iso
was missing firmware
