WIFI doesn't connect, always asks for password and even after wifi is connected shows limited internet

I installed Manjaro KDE about a week ago. The experience has been amazing but from few days I am facing this issue with my wifi connection. At first it showed limited wifi connection even though in my other devices wifi was fine. I removed my wifi and again tried to connect but from then the problem is on, KDE Wallet always shows popup and wifi doesn’t connect after entering the password everytime the wifi Authenticate pops up.

Just In: I just noticed, when I connect to my earbud by bluetooth the wifi slows down to the point where web page doesn’t reload. I turned off the wifi then again tried to connect it asks for password again (Authenticate) but if I disconnect my bluetooth earbud the wifi is working.

Please provide me with solution if you are familiar or know what’s going on.

please post the output of the mandatory

What should I do ?

Sounds like a misconfig in your DNS Resolver Settings. Had the same issues as well, especially, when you are in a Network within 14 eyes alliances wher ISP’s only allow certain DNS Servers as Intelligence monitors all internet traffic. Are you using VPN?

Check your Resolver Settings and maybe also try this as a workaround with your own specified DNS Settings from here: Manjaro Forum Link - NETWORKING

Concerning your bluetooth problem: This is normaly due to the fact of frequency overlapp and the frequencies used by your modem. Especially, when it points from the same direction. - Solution: Try other drivers for your Network Adadpter and/or try 5G or change your modem position.

For me it worked when I changed my modem the best.

No I don’t use vpn.

The first problem was solved. I just had to disable KDE wallet and in Wi-Fi & Networking => Wi-Fi Security, I entered my wifi password and selected ‘Store password for all users (not encrypted)’ and after reboot the problem was solved, It didn’t ask for password anymore and limited connection was also not shown. I don’t know if that’s how it was solved but I didn’t face the problem again.

As for second problem with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, like you said it was due to interference of frequency both being same (2.4GHz). Your suggestion for solution on changing the Network Adapter worked for me. I changed my driver from rtw_8821ce to rtl8821ce and wifi is working while I am listening song on my earbuds rn :joy:

Thank you for helping solve this for me :slightly_smiling_face: @Frater_418 and @Olli

You’re welcome.
