Why is there no longer a Manjaro logo in the start button of the application launcher in KDE?

From previous installations, I remember that in KDE, just like in Xfce, the Manjaro logo was visible in the bottom left corner. Instead, only the KDE logo is there now. Attempting to define the logo via the application launcher settings fails because there simply isn’t one to select. Why? Every other distribution has its own logo in this location. Can’t this be included in future ISOs?

It is very easy to change that. “Configure application launcher” and click on the “icon” setting, then search for “manjaro”. Select its icon (in my case, three different icons came up, all the same). And yeah.

ok, thank you very much

Did you change the theme to something else?
That’s fine - but rarely are they Manjaro branded.

No, I have the original Manjaro-Breath theme.

Ah, now that I look at it, I see it.
The Start button is not Manjaro branded.
I don’t know whether it ever was - it probably was.

… looks o.k. to me the way it is, though
I didn’t even notice - nor did I miss it. :grimacing:

It is good to have a rock solid distro that did not prioritize branding. There are tons of such distros out there really, filled with stupid shenanigans. They are like the OS equivalent of Kardashians.

Don’t go for branding? Are you kidding me? What about the ubiquitous green? No branding? What about the manjaro-browser-settings? No pre-installed Manjaro links?

I have nothing against branding. No problem. That’s why I don’t understand your unreflected statement, sorry.

Well i am on “Manjaro ARM”. The green is fine to be honest and easy to change. I actually like the darker tones on my desktop, so green, i like. I did not have any “browser settings” (i dont know what you mean there), neither had i any manjaro links in my browsers. So maybe we are talking about different architectures (x86 maybe).

But lets be honest. “Plain arch” is hard. Hard to install, hard to work with. Manjaro is arch, yes, but it makes it easier. I mean it is not just about branding (i don’t see it anyway). It makes arch more accessible. And that is good.
