Why do packages not show via pacman -Ss?

Trying to find a well known package like cpu-x via command

pacman -Ss cpu-x (and variants such as cpux)

returns nothing, yet many linux sites report its the alternative to cpu-z on windows

Doesn’t mean if some site reports something that that package is in the repo then. It’s in AUR by the way.

… And pacman does not access the AUR. Use “pamac search” instead.

CPU-X is not in the official repositories. You can install from AUR, Flathub, or AppImage.
