When will xfce be updated to 4.18?

On 15 December xfce was updated to 4.18, but when I run sudo pacman -Syu, it says there is nothing to update, even though my current xfce version is 4.16. Why is this?

Hi @CynicusRex,

XFCE 4.18 is in testing branch: [Testing Update] 2022-12-16 - Kernels, Pipewire, XFCE 4.18, Mesa 22.3.1, Plasma-Mobile, Thunderbird

You may have to wait for a few days before it’s pushed to the stable branch.

Regards,

Thank you for the answer, and glad I’ll only have to wait for a few days.

A user can always tell where a package is in the Manjaro cycle by viewing their Package Search - https:://packages.manjaro.org/?query=^xfdesktop.

It use to be called Branch Compare. It was written up in the Manjaro blog.

And then go to the appropriate Annoucement in this forum per @vcottineau. The Announcement Topics should be viewed on a regular basis and definitely read (at least the first 2 posts) before updating.
