When the laptop goes to sleep , when i click, it shows only black screen(using Wayland)

Hi there,

I recently switched to Wayland, and there are a few issues that appeared after that. I don’t know where to write this issue, so if this is not the place let me know. When the laptop goes to sleep mode because of inactivity, when I hit keys or click mouse for it to turnback on, it only shows black screen, and nothing turns it on, until I turn the laptop off with the button and turn it back on. Does anybody have this kind of problem, or its something on my end.

Can you try LTS kernel.

I have this strange issue when trying to change the kernel. For example I install Linux61

I did

sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux61
sudo update-grub
sudo reboot
uname -r

but this didn’t change my kernel. I still get the output

6.5.9-1-MANJARO

I tried multiple times, I also tried to do the same with linux54, same result.

Am I doing something wrong? Also after that my laptop started freezing randomly for a short time and the fans started to work more intensive then usual:(

By default, GRUB will boot the last kernel used. So you have to enter the “Advanced options for Manjaro Linux” at the GRUB boot screen and select the new kernel.

I removed and reinstalled the same running kernel(because the LTS kernel didn’t have the wifi drivers for my wifi card I didn’t wanna install them) and I guess it works for now. Thank you so much for your replies:)
