Weston included or no with manjaro

Running latest Manjaro Gnome + Wayland + NVIDIA. I have installed the propietary driver, DKMS, and kernel modesetting. I’m new to using Wayland.

What is weston, what does “reference implementation of a Wayland compositor” mean? It doesn’t appear to be installed, is this normal for a manjaro build from ISO?

Neither Weston nor any other compositor can be used on GNOME as Mutter is built-in.
