Weather station connecting issue

I have a Bresser 7in1 weather station. For some reason, last December, the console lost contact with my wifi and therefore with ProWeatherLive, the remote server that provides the interface and manages the data. Since then, I’ve tried desperately to reconnect the station. Bresser offered to send the console back to them and they concluded that it was working correctly. I’m currently running an updated manjaro and gnome machine. I remembered today that I had connected the device the first time with a previous computer running ubuntu. I reactivated it and was able to make the connection directly.
The protocol is as follows: the station’s console is set into pairing mode, it can then be reached via http://192.168.1.1, the wifi and the station’s settings on the ProWeatherLive must be provided in a form and, after confirmation, the PC is reconnected to the wifi and the station can then communicate with the remote server.
I’m just wondering why this procedure doesn’t work with manjaro when it does with ubuntu. What does the operating system have to do with this? I haven’t tried android and I don’t have a pc running windows.

Hi @bilem,

This is pure speculation, but I suspect you might be using different networks. How is your PC connected to your network? If Wifi, is it the same network (SSID)? Are they in the same IP range? Can you check and make sure your Manjaro’s network settings are the same as the Ubuntu’s?

Thanks Mirdarthos for your answer.
I have the same SSID for both machines (iwgetid) and I don’t see any big difference when applying ifconfig.
This post tells me at least that nobody met the same issue. I’d rather expect an explanation from the manufacturer. I am in contact with them. Let’s wait…
