My monitor is unsupported, the only resolution choice I have is 1024x768, I have LG UltraGear 32GR93U-B. Also, the screenshot tool (Spectacle)) isn’t opening.
Then I would advise you to use X11 instead.
I switched back, just strange a 44ish year old display manger picked up the monitoe & Wayland didn’t. Wonder if it has anything to do with the nvidia driver version not being 555?
Yes, it does. Wayland and Nvidia are not the best of friends.
Do you use Nvidia? If yes you probaby should enable modesetting

Is asma-wayland-session in AUR, it is not in normal repository? I hear AUR packages can break the sys. Just type
nvidia-drm.modeset=1 in terminal or a file?. I don’t like messing with stuff to much, will this be fixed soon, so we can just use it with no editing?
You don’t need this. This package was required for KDE 5.
You can place this parameter in several places – you decide where Anyway if you don’t know how to do this (and if you aren’t ready for small research and discovering by yourself) you probably shouldn’t use Wayland, especially with Nvidia – in some situations it can be very troublesome connection.
