You can scale, centre or zoom wallpapers automatically with whatever DE you use, you can also, if you prefer downsize with a program like Gimp. It’s incredibly easy.

Oh, found these on my old USB stick. Think they are from last year. Not my favorite ones, but I’ll share them in case somebody likes them. The third is one of my worst creations. It hurts my eyes every time I look at it. You should try 
The backgrounds are not from the internet, but generated in Blender and an other program (where I can’t think of the name at the moment) .

Do you still have the first one in 1920x1080 or higher resolution?
The copy from above is 1920x1080. I don’t have the original anymore, but I rendered the one from above again with 3840x2160. It’s a copy so I don’t know about the quality… Think it’s bad. (my screen is… euh, a lot smaller ) But you can try it.
