I tend to enjoy pixel art wallpapers for some reason.
Maybe its partly nostalgia.
Maybe its partly because I *like* their look, while they are usually very light, and the size almost does not matter because a 16-bit image blown up still looks like a 16-bit image.

None of these are (solely) my work.
But they have all been modified and processed by me in some form or fashion.
Color or size tweaks, optimizations, stripping the image from a gif or movie.

Thats enough talk. Heres some pixely walls.

You may expect additions and changes there before or rather than here as that is already the case.

Thanks, that one did have some hand-pixeling by me in various parts, though still not really my work.

I also did some magic enlargening of it - so its huge, and should fit even the biggest resolutions.

(others may wish to cut it down to a more reasonable size)

It is definitely nostalgic for me. Reminds me of my school years as i played Monkey Island and co.

If you ever have the inclination, recreating the (original) X-Files ā€œI Want to Believeā€ poster might be an interesting project.

I tried recreating the actual poster (on the wall of the TV series) a few years ago (as SVG); it failed miserably. I thought Iā€™d try again when I found enough of that elusive commodity (time) to spare.

So far, it seems I havenā€™t.

The source image I used as reference was actually a decent size and resolution. If I trip over it in my archives Iā€™ll post a link.
