there is security issue with vlc version 3.0.17, this is the current version on manjaro.
Solution is to update to 3.0.18.
From what I can tell the VLC package comes from the upstream arch repositories and it is flagged out of date there: Arch Linux - vlc 3.0.17.4-11 (x86_64) so when arch updates it should be in manjaro unstable → testing → stable soon enough. If you can’t wait it might be available as a flatpack/snap.

Testing branch update 2022-12-04 includes vlc 3.0.18-1
