VLC crashes with a core dump when trying to play a Video

I already tried to delete all files of VLC and disabling Hardware Acceleration (looks like a error caused by the NVIDIA Drivers), but with no luck

Try VDPAU

On a side note, it looks like you do not have a swap file or swap partition. It would be a good idea to have one or the other. A swap file is very simple to implement.

I know, but I currently don’t see a value in it. I have 16GB RAM and I didn’t need to swap.

Thanks. I didn’t know that. I prefer using PulseAudio at the Moment. It looks like Pipewire was installed as a depency and I can’t remove it.

Strange Link works fine for me, I’ll cut and paste it here:

If your using Nvidia Graphics then this worked for me.

removing the “libva-vdpau-driver” and installing the “libva-nvidia-driver” from AUR.

This fixed OBS segfault, It also fixed VLC player from crashing when playing a video, it also fixed Firefox crashing when performance settings and hardware acceleration where enabled.
