VLC crash on hybrid nvidia/intel mode

Hello folks

On my laptop (hybrid Intel/Nvidia) in dual boot with Manjaro and EOS, I recently decided to migrate from Nouveau to the nvidia driver via the mhwd wiki procedure, all worked fine like a lettter in the box.
I’ve tried to launch a video with VLC but this one crash immediately, the same video can be played with Parole without any troubles. This be done on hybrid mode , I’ve change to the integrated mode to test and VLC has been launch and use correctly.

In the other hand, with EOS, VLC can be used on Hybrid mode without any troubles. (same drivers version)

Is this trouble could come from a different OS philosophy or a real problem from VLC,Manjaro itself or some settings?

I’m not expert with nvidia, I’m trying to give them another chance. Maybe this occur is not a big deal and can be shunted by playing with another linux, but, following the envycontrol option, I won’t be able to use another external screen in this configuration, at this time, is this always true?

Try changing VLC video output.

It’s done nothing, VLC is flickering, I’ve audio and no video (play like the simple player)

The issue seems to be corrected, for the moment, according to your reply, I change the output for X11 video output (XCB)

Strange, when wayland will land with XFCE, it should be a great moment of fun…
