Since several days, my backup-browsers Vivaldi & Chromium fail to start.
I have read a similiar thread in this forum and one hint was to delete the config folder (~/.config/vivaldi/) but it doesn’t help.
Any ideas?

From what I can make up, it appears to be GPU-related, and you happen to have The Evil One™, i.e. an Nvidia. 
But considering that it only started happening a few days ago, we need to know what you did to trigger this. This sort of thing does not happen all by itself. There has to be a pretext — something you did, installed, removed, or whatever. We need to know what exactly.

I’m in the unstable branch, so there are every day updates. In the last days, I have installed & mostly reinstalled NAS + Backup + Sync related applications. The only one is left, it’s Grsync, I guess.
Try:
chromium --password-store=basic
If it works, go System Settings, activate kwallet, reboot and try to start the browser again. Then you can disable kwallet again.

Thanks. Have tried this. After reboot and starting Vivaldi he asks me for the password, after inserting, Vivaldi failed to start. Afterwards I removed the Kwalled and again, it won’t start.
What is about the Mangohud? This is needed only in games, not browsers. Could this be an issue?
Cannot deinstall it really, because it is needed by Goverlay; Goverlay is needed by lutris & heroic-games-launcher…

As I understand your system is up-to-date
So copying the .config/vivaldi folder is a good start with troubleshooting
If that is not solving the issue - I am thinking it could be worth emptying the folder ~/.cache - best done by signing out - switch to tty - sign on and do
rm -rf ~/.cache
Further down the road - judging from your profile info - Nvidia is trickster.
- Have you tried switching between the open driver and closed driver?
I vaguely remember something about environment variables which can control the graphical backend for chrome applications.
I checked my system (ThreadRipper CPU paired with R9700 GPU) - I don’t remember the exact reason, I added it - but if I recall correct it was chromium related mostly electron based apps

But it do look like an implementation detail where the application expects a value but the process cannot find the tag used to locate a specific memory address
and thus it reads past array bounds
Look very much like an error with the chromium engine.

Removing Cache from Chromium and Vivaldi didn’t help.
You can also try chromium --disable-gpu, to see if it’s something related to hardware acceleration.
Or run chromium --guest, to start with a temporary profile and check if the problem comes from your main profile.

As I read it [MANGOHUD] is failing three times in a row - the rest appears errors propagating from that failure.
As part of your troubleshooting efforts - have you tried to remove the mangohud package?
And - if you are using one or more custom build scripts, perhaps related to mangohud - have you tried to remove them?
What is the output from
pacman -Qqem
It is impossible to guess or deduce what causes the issue on your system if it has multiple alien packages synced. You may think they are unrelated - but can you be sure they are not?
EDIT:
mangohud can be removed - it is not a hard requirement for neither lutris nor heroic-games-launcher but optional.

I had a similar issue with Vivaldi time back. For me the issue turned out to be with video codec. Using --disable-accelerated-video-decode solved it for me.
Couldn’t hurt to try.

@Humbi It appears you have MangoHud globally enabled and may be the cause of the issue. The following should have no output if not:

Vivaldi starts without crashing 
, but getting a website results in a crash, see:

I don’t know if it’s normal, but at least I get those when starting from CLI. I’ve had no problems relating to them.
