If I did " inxi -G --verbosity=3 | grep Gen | tail -1
I" i get only:

and " `glxinfo | grep renderer":

Extended renderer info (GLX_MESA_query_renderer):

What could be wrong with my setup?
I am in unstable, if I did “picom --diagnostics” the result is that “egl” is using driver “crocus”, no driver “i915”, there are references of “i915” in the journal:

*Maybe I should open a separate thread for this.
*VirtualBox don’t start.
Agreed. I have done that for you.
Please provide full system information as described (below).
I’m sure someone will help when they are able.
Regards.
System Information
While information from *-fetch
type apps might be fine for someone wishing to buy your computer, for Support purposes more indepth information is usually needed;
It’s best to ask your system directly.
Output of the inxi
command with appropriate parameters will achieve this (naturally, formatted according to forum requirements) and will generally be more useful for those wishing to help:
inxi --filter --verbosity=8
or the short form:
inxi -zv8
Be prepared to provide more information and outputs from other commands whenever asked. It’s equally important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem.

… perhaps also explain with some more words what the actual problem is - I couldn’t figure it out as of yet
it may be:
servimo:
*VirtualBox don’t start.
but that is just a guess

VirtualBox shows only a cloudy window ( I don’t know quite the word, I see the window is there, but could not move or do anythig with it, except close).
As I said, I am using picom, in the Xfce.
So:
my guess was right?
This is about something not working as expected in VirtualBox?
Still not sure.
Even less about what the actual problem might be.
Use words to explain what the perceived problem is.
just for example:
picom
is used in the host - or in the guest?
I have never had problems replacing the xfce4 compositor with picom
I have done that in the past - for reasons I forgot.
There was never a problem - but that was a long time ago.
I also stopped using VirtualBox - in favor of kvm/qemu (virt-manager)

in the host. I don’t have any other computer.
If disable picom, the VirtualBox appears but I could not had any machine.
Yes, I was thinking about this, It’s time to try another virtual-manager.
I always wanted to do this, and soon I will do it. Not now.
Xfce4 and picom
as compositor on the host …
That should not have any impact on the guest.
That is all I know.
What the f is the problem?
The problem is that VirtualBox don’t start and with the problems with drives in the [Stable Updates] 2025-04-12 - Kernels, Plasma, Systemd, Mesa, Grub, Wine3 - #106 by Aragorn I thought it was related.
*I think my computer is going obsolete. Picom is using egl driver “crocus”. Last time I did “picom --diagnostics” it was “i915”, if I am not wrong.
I don’t think so.
I still don’t know what that is supposed to mean.
What is your freaking problem?
Just say it - just describe what is vs what you expect to happen.
Describe the situation in detail.
What is it that you want to do?
which apparently doesn’t work the way you think it should
I don’t know how to ask for more precise info.

So there is no problem with Picom using this driver and the VirtualBox not appearing? Other things works good with Xfce.
I have no freaking idea.
You have not given nearly enough information.
… still not - after repeated requests …
good luck with solving whatever your ill defined problem is stemming from

picom is a compositor and xfce4 provides it’s own compositor.
If you are using both - the result is unpredictable and may cause blurry windows - especially with a hypervisor.
First ensure you only use one compositor - I suggest you prefer xfce4 - but if you really want picom - you need to disable xfce4 compositor and configure picom to exclude virtualbox.

Please see the topic linked above - the last section contains some troubleshooting tips related to distorted background in virtual machines running on VirtualBox.

If I understand properly, you are trying to tell us that Virtualbox doesn’t start when running picom
, and it does when you disable it, is that correct?
If so (and as @linux-aarhus mentioned) , XFCE already has it’s own compositor, and you should ideally be using it.
The “cloudy window” you mentioned (whatever that means) might be easier to diagnose with Manjaro as close to stock as possible.
In any case, I have renamed the topic to something that better reflects the issue at hand.
Feel free to change it again if needed.
Regards.
I will give up to VirtualBox, I think is not the compositors.
Do you require further assistance or would you like us to close this topic?
You can close this topic. “Cloudy window” means it the window is opaque. because of this I thought it was the compositor, but if I disable any compositor the window appears and I could add a new iso of OS but then it stop to work and freeze. That’s why I thought it was some changes in the driver or my system have stop to accept what was new in the VirtualBox.
*I have enabled Intel Virtualization.
