Video Resolution Stuck @ 1024x768 Can’t See Login Panel To Login Or Change Video Resolution - How To Change Video Resolution On Installed Manjaro From Manjaro Live USB.

I was playing Skyrim and I changed the video resolution to 720p for full screen. The display went black and upon reboot it does not show the entire login screen. I cannot login and I cannot change the video resolution. How do I change the video resolution back from a live Manjaro USB ? What files do I edit ?

Ah, never mind. I found the solution. If the video resolution gets messed up on Manjaro KDE then what fixes it is by deleting the directory: ./usr/home/TYPE USERNAME HERE/.local/share/kscreen <— delete this directory from a live USB with Manjaro KDE on it.

This deletes the user video resolution settings and sets it back to automatically detected.

You were able to do that from a liveusb? How’d you do that?

Live Boot the Manjaro Live USB. Open the hard disk drive / solid state drive partition from the Live USB. Open the directory with the configuration file in it and then delete the entire directory. Power off and then power on again without the Live USB plugged-in. Problem solved.

Good to know. Thanks.
