Various issues after upgrading to Plasma 6: Logout does not work, X11 spans wallpaper over 2 screens

Also sddm shows a wrong pointer which a minor issue.

The logout issue I had on my laptop too which I solved by reinstalling which is a very very last resort for my desktop.

I have tried a workaround from 481938 – Unable to leave session via Desktop menu on Plasma 6.0.0

I’ve created 2 files in /usr/share/dbus-1/services to make my Restart, Shutdown & Logout work again:

$ cat org.kde.Shutdown.service
[D-BUS Service]
Name=org.kde.Shutdown
Exec=/usr/bin/plasma-shutdown

$ cat org.kde.LogoutPrompt.service
[D-BUS Service]
Name=org.kde.LogoutPrompt
Exec=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/ksmserver-logout-greeter
The issue seems to be gone after 10 or 15 minutes logged in, but I of course want to be able to do that anytime…

This happens on Wayland and X11.

EDIT: Issue seems to be gone after several reboots and by itsself

  • X11 spans wallpaper over 2 screens while one is half-black: As I can not log out now, I will add a screenshot later.

I tried removing Trolltech.conf (funny name btw) but to no avail.

I’m planning to use both Wayland and X11 (for session restore)

EDIT: Issue seems to be gone after unplugging and replugging 2nd and 3rd monotr.

Also noticed that
webapp-manager-manajro is gone from the repos too.

Session restore (on last logout or Save Session) neither works on X11 nor Wayland.
