can you please don’t rename the linux-firmware package to linux-firmware-meta?
The Arch linux-firmware package is now empty. In order to avoid conflicts, Phil introduced the linux-firmware-meta package to conflict with and replace the old version for a reason. Not sure why Arch did not do the same. The packager has been contacted regarding the subject.

I know it’s empty, as you correctly noticed Arch didn’t change the name of the package. I use arch-testing repository and now when updating packages they conflict. Why the name just can’t stay the same?
You’ve been around long enough to know Manjaro is not Arch. Using Arch repos on Manjaro is not supported.
Either way, if Jan had done what Phil did there would have been no file conflicts on Arch. Hopefully Jan sees Phil’s email about it.
