User password is different than what I set it to

I have recently switched over to Cinnamon and set my computer to autologin during setup. I have only two ideas for the password, since they were the only two I have been using for a while, but for some reason when I need to log back in the password is incorrect. I tried to change my password on my account settings, but it looks like there is already a password set to my account that is only 6 characters. Neither of my passwords are merely 6 characters long, so it won’t let me change it. I was wondering if there is a way to see that password, or change it and bypass changing it here. My administrator password is correct and works just fine.

no, not possible

Then you can use the admin account to set a new password for your user account.
passwd $your_username
should do that
