When I activated usbguard.service - because Journal complained that this service hadn’t started 
after restart keybord and mouse no longer worked.
Simply, because these devices are connected via USB. TimeShift saved me again… 
Any workaround except de-installing usbguard?
usbguard is for having white/black lists of usb devices.
If you dont want to use it why is it installed?
If you do want to use it then configure it.
I missed this part:
Warning: Make sure to actually configure the daemon before starting/enabling it or all USB devices, including keyboard and mouse, will immediately be blocked!

And: curiosity killed the cat - security killed the “nerd”.
If you first, as a test, just start the service,
but not yet enable it,
you can simply reboot and it will be inactive again …
