USB Ethernet not working [SOLVED]

Hi I’ve recently acquired a USB C Ethernet adapter and I can’t get it working, by that I mean I have plugged it in and it nothing is showing up on KDE network manager and I don’t really know what to do.

Ok so to get it working I have to plug in the adapter without the Ethernet plugged in, then plug the Ethernet in after. Very odd.
