I have Win8.1 installed in VirtualBox, and USB devices show up under the Devices->USB menu as they should.
I’m trying to get a new Cardo Freecom 4+ to connect, so that it can be registered and updated with their Windows software.
When it is clicked on, the USB connecting sound plays in Win8.1, then the disconnecting sound. It doesn’t even throw up an error message.
I tried using a filter in the VM Settings for the Cardo Freecom 4+, and left it disconnected when booting the Win8.1 VM. After boot-up, the Freecom 4+ was plugged into USB and the connecting and disconnecting sounds kept playing repeatedly until it was unplugged.
I can see various USB devices in the list, but can’t connect to any of them in Win8.1 VM.
As a test, when trying to click on my microphone to enable in Win8.1, i get this error:
