Hi everyone,
Since googling the error I am facing yielded no result, I’m posting this here.
This morning I encountered a new problem with my laptop: when connecting a USB-C monitor, the said monitor blinks once, then displays the classic “no signal from your device”. The same happens with 2 other USB-C monitors, and also with the two USB-C ports of the laptop. This started happening without a reboot, but after closing the lid and reopening it a few hours later. I also tried rebooting a few times, without change.
Also, it works with HDMI on another monitor (can’t test on mine), so I think the issue really is related with the USB-C ports.
I’ll start with the dmesg -w
logs when unplugging and plugging the USB-C connector of the monitor:

This last line is what I couldn’t find online, and I don’t have enough knowledge to understand where to start looking …
Now some system information in case it’s useful. It’s an X1 gen 9 Lenovo laptop with an up-to-date Gnome-Manjaro. The same problem happens both on Xorg and Wayland.
