Update on 6.12.11 is not shown

Hello,

I have two PC’s running Manjaro. A UM790 Pro mini PC, and a HP notebook. On my mini PC I have received an update on kernel 6.12.11 a week ago. I was deliberately waiting for this release because I had some issues with 6.12.4, e.g. freezes. This seems to be solved with 6.12.11.

On my HP notebook I am running kernel 6.12.4, and the update to 6.12.11 is not shown. Why is this so? How can I update to the most recent kernel? I tried it through package manager, and through sudo pacman -Syyu

Possibly the primary mirror is different on the two systems.

Run pacman-mirrors without arguments (or --status) on both systems to compare.

I have updated the mirrors list on the notebook. pacman-mirrors is showing 114 mirrors, all with a green OK and all around the globe …

After running pacman-mirrors and starting the update again in the terminal it is now updating. So, thank you for your swift response. All is solved.

Only the first is of interest - if you want to ensure same package level - the first entry must be the same.

Example

 $ pacman-mirrors
Pacman-mirrors version 4.28
Local mirror status for unstable branch
Mirror #1   OK  00:05   Austria  https://mirror.easyname.at/manjaro/
