Update Cinnamon iso with LTS kernel 6.12

Hi,

after discovering the issue on my initial post: Issue with Cinnamon iso’s?, I was hoping a new Cinnamon iso with LTS kernel 6.12 would be build (like Manjaro Sway Edition), replacing the current faulty iso.

Would this be possible?

Thank you in advance!

Which is? The ISO built in April with 6.14 on the website works for me.

This seems to be the issue: https://forum.manjaro.org/t/issue-with-cinnamon-isos/178708/2

which led to: https://gitlab.manjaro.org/applications/calamares/-/commit/0fd501fad5eb15e66898bc8cfb87e1059907ecb7

Hope that’s enough information

You can update calamares if necessary on the live ISO before installing:

sudo pacman -Sy calamares

before the calamares update calamares starts as normal.
After running the calamares update, calamares doesn’t start anymore on my VM.

Ah, well in this case it will not work as calamares was rebuilt on newer libraries:

/usr/bin/calamares: error while loading shared libraries: libkpmcore.so.13: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Either way, it turns out calamares 3.3.14-7 that includes the fix isn’t in the stable branch yet. Whenever Phil spins new ISOs, it will contain it.

I guess I’ll just have to wait.

UPDATE: spotted the updated ISO (with kernel 6.12) today and (vm) installation worked.

Thanks for the updated iso’s!
