I have tested it with my pixel 9, in testing-branch and the 6.14.4-1-MANJARO, the tethering works for me. just as info
scotty65 thanks for the good tip about the Linux kernel. I admit that I havenāt been interested in this topic until now. Itās good to learn something new.
Hello. Thank you and everyone for your interest in my problem.
Iāve never used the testing branch, so Iāll do the test in my free time. Iāll see how it works.
Now tethering works fine for me on 5.15 and Iāll stick with it because Iāve always used LTS kernels.
Iām not abandoning Manjaro, the system works fine and thereās no need to change it. Iāll wait for a fix for the 6 series kernels.
Good for you. It wouldnāt help switching distros. Manjaro is not at fault here. (Well they could fix it by reverting the offending commit, but all current kernel versions are affected.)
does this bug also cause instability in WiFi as well?
No, the patch modified modem recognition and was too eager, therefore breaking USB tethering.
