I have tested it with my pixel 9, in testing-branch and the 6.14.4-1-MANJARO, the tethering works for me. just as info :slight_smile:

scotty65 thanks for the good tip about the Linux kernel. I admit that I havenā€™t been interested in this topic until now. Itā€™s good to learn something new.

Hello. Thank you and everyone for your interest in my problem.
Iā€™ve never used the testing branch, so Iā€™ll do the test in my free time. Iā€™ll see how it works.
Now tethering works fine for me on 5.15 and Iā€™ll stick with it because Iā€™ve always used LTS kernels.
Iā€™m not abandoning Manjaro, the system works fine and thereā€™s no need to change it. Iā€™ll wait for a fix for the 6 series kernels.

Good for you. It wouldnā€™t help switching distros. Manjaro is not at fault here. (Well they could fix it by reverting the offending commit, but all current kernel versions are affected.)

does this bug also cause instability in WiFi as well?

No, the patch modified modem recognition and was too eager, therefore breaking USB tethering.
