Unterschied Live Stick zu Installation

Hallo,

ich wollte gern prinzipiell in Erfahrung bringen welchen Unterschied es macht, ob ich ein aktuelles Manjaro vom Live Stick boote oder die daraus erfolgte Installation starte.

Konkret habe ich einen Z83-F MiniPC mit einem rt 5651 Chip als Tonausgabe.

Im Livesystem vom Stick läuft der Ton über HDMI und Kopfhörer problemlos. Aus dem installiertem System heraus läuft kein Ton, da scheinbar Pulse nicht gestartet wird da alsa die treiber nicht kennt.

Zumindest ist nach Kopieren der entsprechenden Dateien ins /var/share/alsa und /usr/lib/alsa und einem Neustart Pulse für den Tonmischer erreichbar und der Kopfhörerausgang spukt Töne. HDMI leider nicht.

Wie gesagt geht es mir erstmal um das Verständnis wo die Unterschiede zwischen Live System und installiertem System liegen. (Bin blutiger Anfänger.)

es geht mir eher um die prizipiellen Unterschiede der Hardwareerkennung und Treiberzuordnung bei Live system zu installiertem System, als um das konkrete Beispiel. Gern reiche ich aber die konkreten inxi Informationen nach sobald ich wieder an dem System sitze.

Kommt leider immer wieder vor. Natürlich wäre es eine Innovation wenn der Installationsmanager im Livesystem eine Config-datei erstellen würde die dann beim installieren die vorher erkannte hardware installiert. das es nicht so ist und immer wieder zu solchen stockfehlern führt ist mehr als schade.

Mir erschließt sich nicht so recht warum der Installationsmanager im Live System anders arbeitet als der, der physischen Installation.

Das war keine gute Idee. Die Dateien in diesen Ordnern werden durch Pakete aus dem Repository bereitgestellt. In diesen Ordnern händisch rumzufummeln führt im Nachhinein oft zu Problemen.

Hast du den überprüft zu welchem Paket oder Paketen die Dateien gehören und ggf. ob das Paket überhaupt installiert war?

Die Dateien die ich dort hin kopiert habe waren Treiber/Konfigs aus einem Patch für Ubuntu/Mint/Kubuntu/etc für eben jenen Soundchip. Der konkrete Fall sollte nur als Bsp. dienen.

Das System ist auch nicht produktiv im Einsatz.
Um heute abend die inxi Ausgabe und pulse/alsa Zustand zu posten werde ich nochmals eine frische Installation vom Stick durchführen.

Mir fehlt eben genau das Verständnis was zwischen Live und Installation unterschiedlich läuft.

Die haben nichts miteinander zu tun. Ein KDE live System könnte auch einen Gnome Desktop installieren. Die im Live System vorhanden Pakte und Dateien werden nicht installiert. Stattdessen verwendet der Installer fertige Image Dateien und passt diese leicht an.

Die Wirklichkeit ist etwas komplexer aber das Prinzip passt. Du kannst aber natürlich schauen welche Dateien bzw. besser welche Pakte es im Live System gibt und ob die auch im installiertem System vorhanden sind, bzw. die benötigten Pakte nachinstallieren.

OK danke, das macht dann Sinn wenn das Image zur Installation ein völlig anderes sein kann - und ist die Lösung zur Verständnisfrage.

Während der Installation habe ich auf dem Live system noch kein Inet. evtl. würde es das Problem beheben wenn der Installer passende Pakete nachladen kann?

Und dann wäre nun die Frage mit welchen Befehlen man die 2 Systeme sinnvollerweise vergleichen kann.
Sind es nur die installierten Pakete des Paketmanagers oder noch weitere Sachen?

Wenn das Thema durch ist würde ich deinen Post als Lösung markieren.

Es gibt da schon Überschneidungen, aber erst mal davon ausgehen das beide ganz unterschiedlich sind.

Da bin ich mir nicht sicher, aber soweit ich weiß, wird trots Internet nichts zusätzlich installiert. Das ist ganz anders als du es vielleicht aus der Debian/Ubuntu/Mint Welt kennst.

Erstmal raus finden was dein Soundsystem wirklich benötigt. Ob noch Pakete installiert werden müssen, oder ob es nur eine Konfigurationsproblem ist. Die inxi Ausgaben sehen ja sehr ähnlich aus und zeigen in beiden Fällen kein richtiges Audiogerät.

Nun wird es lustig.
Nach der Neuinstallation wunderte ich mich schon das bei inxi der Sound Server 3 als running angezeigt wird, da es beim Soundfehler nicht so war. Und siehe da der Ton war sowohl bei HDMI als auch auf den Kopfhörern vorhanden.

Nach einem Neustart startet der SoundServer-3 wieder nicht.
