Python 3.14 info

:information_source: You will need to rebuild any AUR Python packages that install files to site-packages or link to libpython3.13.so.

Print a list of of packages that have files in /usr/lib/python3.13/ :

pacman -Qoq /usr/lib/python3.13/

Rebuild them all at once:*

pamac build $(pacman -Qoq /usr/lib/python3.13)

Use rebuild-detector to see if anything else needs to be rebuilt:

 checkrebuild

* It’s recommended to clean your build cache first with pamac clean --build-files

I always forget to check this thread before updating…
I found a utility called informant on AUR that puts in a hook before Timeshift snapshot hook so I dont miss something important like manual interventions…

Is this utility good to be used?
It prevents any updates until all the news is marked read.

Was missing some summary of updates since switching to Unstable, so I enabled RSS feed feature in apdatifier for Arch news, Linux kernel releases and this week in plasma.

I tested putting Manjaro Announcement Feed too, but 90% notifications were Testing and Stable branches so I had to remove it, as I frequently visit those here anyways.

Just add .rss to the end of the section you want to follow; i.e., for Announcements > Unstable Updates

As far as informant, it’s only for Arch Linux News, is an AUR package and thus off-topic for this thread. Feel free to create a Member Hub topic for discussion or if you need help with it, in the Support > AUR section.
