pamac-gtk and pamac-cli is broken for me with the last update. It is hanging for ever trying to sync the database. To reproduce, run pamac update -a or click to sync the database in the gui menu.

[2024-03-16T07:30:54+0100] [ALPM] upgraded pamac-gtk (11.7.1-1 → 11.7.1-2)
[2024-03-16T07:30:54+0100] [ALPM] upgraded pamac-cli (11.6.0-3 → 11.6.0-4)
[2024-03-16T07:30:52+0100] [ALPM] upgraded libpamac (11.6.3-1 → 11.6.4-1)

Can confirm this. It locks /var/lib/pacman/db.lck and hangs

Works here in cinnamon on unstable, just checked, you did reboot?

That would have to be reported upsream, Manajaro doesn’t provide or package that sound theme.

Can confirm too.

The full list of notification sounds (Sound Naming Specification) includes battery-caution and battery-low, but neither of these are included in sound-theme-freedesktop

sound-theme-freedesktop provides a limited number of sound notifications that are used as a fallback if a notification is not available from default sound theme or ~/.local/share/sounds/

sound-theme-freedesktop is included on most Manjaro ISOs (except for Sway)
oxygen-sounds theme is also included on KDE ISOs

ocean-sound-theme is available from extra repository
(maybe this is replacement for oxygen-sounds for Plasma 6 ?)

It is: KDE MegaRelease 6 - KDE-Gemeinschaft

a new default sound theme named “Ocean” has been introduced to replace the “Oxygen” sound theme.

It is?

Maybe? They’re both updated. :man_shrugging:

❯ pacman -Sii oxygen-sounds | grep 'Required By'
Required By : plasma-meta
❯ pacman -Sii ocean-sound-theme | grep 'Required By'
Required By : plasma-meta plasma-workspace

Should be in the current makeup of Unstable as its required by libcanberra which in turn is required by all of these:

knotifications knotifications5 knotifyconfig lib32-libcanberra plasma-desktop plasma-pa plasma-workspace

its required by libcanberra which in turn is required by all of these:

Arch Linux-libcanberra has complete list of packages Required By libcanberra for all DEs

i stopped updating when plasma 6 dropped, and upgraded an hour ago since most issues seem fixed.
i had switched to wayland on plasma 5 in the last days just to see if anything needed fixing, and based off that (apart from missing widgets, eg. the tiled menu launcher) i had no real issues

Yes, pamac is broken, using it don’t update.

It seems I had to install spdlog manually after corectrl was updated to 1.4.0-1. Otherwise, I’d get an error about a missing library when trying to boot up the tool.
Arch only lists it as a make dependency:

I don’t have an account to report this in their GitLab.

What error?

Please create a new Software & Applications thread with logs.

I do.

/usr/bin/corectrl: error while loading shared libraries: libspdlog.so.1.13: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I decided to post about this here as a notice, since it had just arrived in Unstable, and I solved it before posting about it.

Well, then…

I mean, that’s what I said in the first place. I just don’t have an account to report this to the Arch repo.
