[Unstable Update] February 2026

Yes.

Just as soon as the devs get the time to do a Manjaro build.

Waiting is good.

:information_source: The NVIDIA 580 series drivers are now available. For those using the AUR packages or the 570 / 575 series, please test them.

NOTE: 580 support has not been added to MHWD or NVIDIA Driver Assistant yet. Packages will need to be installed manually.

Been using the AUR Package for awhile . On X11 now on Wayland. Working good. The first driver had some issues with flickering but that has been fixed.
Anything you want me to test specifically?

okay… i should read everything properly beforehand… and understand it… :face_with_peeking_eye: :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Maybe an out of date mirror? It’s there.

No. The following fail to build thus far for 6.19 and no working patches are available:

  • nvidia-390xx
  • nvidia-570xx
  • nvidia-575xx
  • nvidia-570xx-open
  • nvidia-575xx-open

Eventually, 580 will replace 575 and probably 570 as well.

This is what I get when trying to install:

ty dev’s

For a later note, use pacman properly, with -Syu so you’re updating the database if needed, there is no real reason, especially when troubleshooting a problem, to install packages without proper DB check beforehand. Don’t create more problems by ignoring the proper command.

is this information for everyone or specifically for me? if so, thank you, but i’m doing it this way intentionally.
i update my database beforehand using -Syu, -Syyu, or -Syyuu or …

ty anyway, no scolding… only love :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It was for you and others as I have seen it multiple times in the replies. It wouldn’t have changed anything initially but it would have after the push of the new package.

Yes there was an issue. I was able to resolve it myself.

After recent updates of linux-firmware, my laptop no longer sleeps properly.
In dmesg, I’ve found that the NPU can’t initialize due to a firmware version somehow mismatched, I guess.

and discovered this particular commit is causing an issue.
Filed a bug in AMD.

AMD guys quickly fixed this problem.
@philm can you trigger a new build of linux-firmware packages?

That commit is included in 20260221 which is only in the Manjaro Unstable branch. The testing branch still has 20260110. Which branch are you using?

EDIT: Phil has pushed 20260221-2 with the aforementioned fix to the unstable branch.

I’m using unstable, sorry for the wrong thread.

No worries. I’ve moved the related replies to the right thread.
