Unknown Wired Connection On My Laptop (Manjaro KDE)

I am using lenovo thinkpad e14 with manjaro kde. Today I observed that there is some wired connection named “lo” connected to my laptop (never heard of this connection before), however there is no ethernet wire attached to it. Its freaking me out honestly, cause I use this laptop of for my business and internet banking.

Mysterious loopback network just appeared

Sometime in the past 2 days (not sure when exactly) a loopback network appeared in the KDE network settings. I am not sure exactly what triggered it. I do see the network being used, though I haven’t found a pattern for when that happens. Eg. It’s fixed in Plasma 5.27.1. It’s a change in NetworkManager 1.42.
